Thursday 10/26/1923: St. Louis (A)'s Jones earns Most Valuable Pitcher
The 1923 American League Most Valuable Pitcher winner is from St. Louis (A) this year. Sam Jones put together impressive numbers on the mound this season. This season Jones compiled an ERA of 2.99, going 26-11 in 40 starts. He fanned 150 while giving up 340 hits in 349 innings. Sam has pitched 3 shutouts and 35 complete games. He's 4th in the American League in ERA and 1st in wins! Thursday 10/26/1923: Jackson and Ruth win Most Valuable Hitter
It was a day to remember for St. Louis (A)'s Joe Jackson, who won the American League Most Valuable Hitter today. It put the finishing touches on what has been a tremendous season for the slugger. Joe is hitting .385 this year, with 232 hits in 602 at bats. He has driven in 107 runs, slugging .512. He's 1st in the American League in batting and 4th in RBI! Jackson wins the award for the 2nd time in his 15-year career. It was a day to remember for Chicago (N)'s Babe Ruth, who won the National League Most Valuable Hitter today. It put the finishing touches on what has been a tremendous season for the slugger. Ruth has hit 51 homeruns this year while batting .349. He adds 33 doubles, along with 136 runs scored. He's 3rd in the National League in batting, 1st in homeruns and 1st in RBI! Ruth wins the award for the 3rd time in his 9-year career.
 
Thursday 10/26/1923: Gordon and Terry receive Rookie Of The Year
Herman Gordon will never forget his first full season. The American League was convinced that St. Louis (A)'s pitcher, 23 years old, should be the Rookie Of The Year winner of 1923. Opposing players hit .243 against Herman this season. While posting an ERA of 4.43 he went 18-12 in 38 starts, fanning 184 and walking 116 hitters. He has 20 complete games and 3 shutouts. Getting an award is a nice way to start a career. Cincinnati's Bill Terry smiled as he was named the National League Rookie Of The Year winner. His season numbers are: .352 AVG, 205 hits, 39 doubles, 11 triples and 16 longballs, along with 99 RBI and 104 runs scored. He's 2nd in the National League in batting, 7th in homeruns and 5th in RBI!
 
Wednesday 10/18/1923: Brooklyn's Heilmann out for 5 weeks
BROOKLYN - Brooklyn's season has taken a hit after one of their best players, rightfielder Harry Heilmann, injured himself while rounding a base. He is likely to miss 5 weeks. After being taken to a local hospital, Heilmann was examined by specialists. The diagnosis revealed the sad truth, a Torn Groin Muscle. Harry has gone 178 for 604 (.295) this season, hitting 12 taters and driving in 85 runs. He has scored 110 runs on his own.
 
Monday 10/2/1923: Pittsburgh's Beckwith wins Player of the Week award
The American League Player of the Week award goes to Sam Jones, one of St. Louis (A)'s best starting pitchers. Jones was overpowering all week long, going 2-0 with an ERA of 2.00. Along the way he struck out 10 in 18 innings. He hurled a shutout as well. In 40 starts this year Sam struck out 150 batters in 349 innings of work. His ERA is 2.99, his record 26-11. Pittsburgh's third baseman John Beckwith had some reason to celebrate as well, as the league named him the National League Player of the Week. He's 4th in the National League in batting, 2nd in homeruns and 2nd in RBI!
 
Sunday 10/1/1923: St. Louis (N)'s George Dixon clears fence three times
NEW YORK (N) - Hitting homeruns is one of the most difficult things in sports. To hit three of them in one game is almost sensational. St. Louis (N)'s centerfielder George Dixon accomplished that feat in a 6-4 win over New York (N). His 1st shot, a two-run homerun off Claude Jonnard in the 1st inning, cleared the fence in right-center. Number 2 in the 4th inning, a shot estimated at 415 feet, cleared the wall in right-center. In the 8th inning he unloaded a solo homerun off Claude Jonnard. Overall he collected 3 hits in 4 trips to the plate, with three runs scored with 5 RBI. His homerun total this year is 15, along with 88 RBI. The final score of the game was 6-4.
 
Sunday 10/1/1923: Detroit's Rogers earns Pitcher of the Month award
The best month of September in the American League certainly had Detroit's right-hander Tom Rogers, earning him the Pitcher of the Month award. He started 3 games in September, going 2-0 and compiling an ERA of 0.96 in 28 innings. Tom fanned 7 hitters. Opposing players hit .279 against Tom this season. Thursday 9/28/1923: Dazzy Vance out for 5 weeks
ST. LOUIS (N) - When it rains, it pours. St. Louis (N)'s right-hander Dazzy Vance will not pitch for at least 5 weeks, handing the team a huge setback. He suffered a serious injury in a game against Pittsburgh where he left the field in the 5th inning. Vance was rushed to an hospital near the ballpark, where doctors took x-rays. Those revealed the serious injury, Ruptured Bicep Tendon. Dazzy has a record of 20-17 this season, with an ERA of 3.54. In 361 Innings he was able to strike out 209 batters. Dazzy has pitched one shutout and 32 complete games. He's 7th in the National League in wins!
 
Monday 9/25/1923: New York (N)'s Charleston wins Player of the Week award
Herman Gordon of St. Louis (A) wins his 1st Player of the Week award for dominating American League's hitters the entire week. Herman went 2-0 with an ERA of 0.00, while fanning 15 in 17 innings of work. He hurled a shutout as well. The National League's best player of the week was New York (N)'s Oscar Charleston, who wins the award for the 6th time in his career. In 23 at bats he hit .522 with 5 HR and 11 RBI.
 
Saturday 9/23/1923: Rube Benton (WAS) will miss 8-9 weeks
WASHINGTON - Washington is without its ace Rube Benton for at least 8-9 weeks. He injured himself while throwing a pitch to Babe Pinelli in a game against Detroit. His face showed signs of pain immediately after the ball left his hand. Doctors examined him after the game and diagnosed a Torn Tricep Muscle which will require surgery. In 42 starts this year Rube struck out 118 batters in 359.1 innings of work. His ERA is 3.76, his record 21-14. He's 4th in the American League in wins!
 
Tuesday 9/19/1923: Herman Gordon pitches his 3rd shutout of the season
PHILADELPHIA (A) - Philadelphia (A)'s hitters looked uncomfortable, and St. Louis (A)'s Herman Gordon didn't help them. The right-hander fired his 3rd shutout of the season, a 2-hitter. The bid for a no-hitter was broken up when Milt Stock doubled with two outs in the 5th inning. Gordon (16-11) was overpowering, fanning 10 while walking 1, throwing 126 pitches. 'I had a good grip on the ball today and I was able to put it where I wanted. That kept them out of balance.' St. Louis (A)'s centerfielder Sammy Hale got 3 hits in 4 AB. That was enough to support the brilliant performance of Gordon. The final score of the game was 3-0.
 
Monday 9/18/1923: St. Louis (A)'s Cicotte wins Player of the Week award
The Player of the Week award in the American League goes to St. Louis (A)'s Eddie Cicotte this time, as the pitcher displayed the best pitching perfomance in his league. He was in a zone all week, compiling an ERA of 0.00 while going 2-0. A complete game added to his brilliant performance. His ERA of 3.42 helped him to a 12-16 record this year. He struck out 129 and walked 93 in 271 innings. Eddie has pitched 2 shutouts and 24 complete games. Brooklyn's rightfielder Harry Heilmann had some reason to celebrate as well, as the league named him the National League Player of the Week. Harry pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .474 with 1 HR and 6 RBI while slugging .895. Harry has gone 155 for 531 (.292) this season, hitting 11 bombs and driving in 79 runs. He has scored 93 runs on his own.
 
Sunday 9/10/1923: Wilbur Cooper shuts out Boston (N) on 2 hits
BOSTON (N) - Pittsburgh's Wilbur Cooper overmatched the opposing hitters all day long. Boston (N) had no chance, collecting just 2 hits against the left-hander. 'I was able to keep´em off balance. That certainly helped.' Cooper (13-10) fanned 5 and walked 3, throwing 122 pitches. Bill Barrett provided Pittsburgh with the offense Cooper needed as he finished 2 for 4, and collecting 2 RBI. NEW YORK (N) - New York (N) is without its right-hander Dick Rudolph for at least 10 weeks. He injured himself while throwing a pitch to Braggo Roth in a game against St. Louis (N). His face showed signs of pain immediately after the ball left his hand. After being taken to a local hospital, Rudolph was examined by specialists. The diagnosis revealed the sad truth, a Herniated Disc Back. This season Rudolph compiled an ERA of 4.54, going 10-13 in 28 starts. He fanned 73 while giving up 244 hits in 226 innings. 'I had my stuff going. Everything I tried worked. What a day!' Cleveland's leftfielder Red Smyth finished with 3 hits in 4 AB, doubling once, and collecting 4 RBI. Monday 9/4/1923: St. Louis (N)'s Vance wins Player of the Week award
Heinie Manush from St. Louis (A) wins his 1st Player of the Week award for putting up the best numbers this week in the American League. Heinie was on fire, hitting .500 with 3 HR and 11 RBI. He hit in every game this week and extended his hitting streak to 11 games. Manush has hit for a .334 average this season. He has 36 extra base hits along with 192 total bases, resulting in a .486 slugging percentage. He's 5th in the American League in batting! It's the 3rd time that the National League Player of the Week award goes to St. Louis (N)'s pitcher Dazzy Vance. Vance was overpowering all week long, going 2-0 with an ERA of 2.12. Friday 9/1/1923: Hill and Griner receive Pitcher of the Month award
Boston (A)'s Carmen Hill had a terrific August, and it earned him the American League Pitcher of the month award. He had an ERA of just 1.97 in 64 innings of work in which he struck out 20 hitters. His record in August is 5-2. Carmen got two complete game shutouts as well! Carmen has a record of 19-7 this season, with an ERA of 2.87. In 263.1 Innings he was able to strike out 85 batters. He has 23 complete games and 5 shutouts. He's 3rd in the American League in ERA and 3rd in wins! It's the 1st time that the National League Pitcher of the Month award goes to Brooklyn's pitcher Dan Griner. He struck out 6 hitters in his 3 starts, putting together a record of 3-0 while pitching 6 innings. His ERA in August was 1.26. Dan pitched a shutout as well. His ERA of 1.77 helped him to a 5-0 record this year. He struck out 9 and walked 9 in 40.2 innings. He has 4 complete games and one shutout.

St. Louis (A)'s leftfielder Joe Jackson had some reason to celebrate, as the league named him the American League Batter of the Month. Wednesday 8/30/1923: Chicago (A)'s Clarke severely injured, out for season
CHICAGO (A) - Chicago (A)'s left-hander Lefty Clarke experienced probably the worst case scenario for a pitcher, a season ending injury. After pitching in the 2nd inning of the game against Philadelphia (A), Clarke complained about serious pain in his throwing arm. He had to leave the game. Chicago (A) wasted no time and rushed him to an hospital. Team officials were informed later that Clarke had suffered a Torn Rotator Cuff Muscle. In 33 starts this year Lefty struck out 108 batters in 257.2 innings of work. His ERA is 4.12, his record 11-14. Lefty has pitched 2 shutouts and 17 complete games.
 
Tuesday 8/29/1923: Hack Miller hits for the cycle against Washington
WASHINGTON - St. Louis (A)'s first baseman Hack Miller once again displayed his tremendous ability to make contact with that little white ball. He tore up Washington's pitching staff with a 4 hit performance on Tuesday. In the 4th inning he unloaded a two-run homerun off Webster Mcdonald. His 2nd hit was a three-run triple off Webster Mcdonald in the 5th inning. A RBI double off Bob Geary in the 7th inning accounted for his 3rd hit. A single in the 9th off Fritz Coumbe accounted for his 4th hit. That drive completed the cycle, causing a smile on his face! Hack scored 2 runs, and he collected 6 RBI as well! He's having a very good season so far, batting .319. He becomes the 7th player in league history collect at least a single, double, triple and a homerun in a single game. Casey Stengel was the last player to hit for the cycle, doing it 6/20/1923.
 
Monday 8/28/1923: Grantham (SLA) and Heilmann (BRO) win P.O.W. award
It's the 1st time that the American League Player of the Week award goes to St. Louis (A)'s third baseman George Grantham. George was on fire, hitting .435 with 3 HR and 7 RBI. George has gone 116 for 452 (.257) this season, hitting 7 taters and driving in 67 runs. He has scored 65 runs on his own. Brooklyn's rightfielder Harry Heilmann had some reason to celebrate as well, as the league named him the National League Player of the Week. Harry pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .524 with 1 HR and 5 RBI while slugging 1.000.

Thursday 8/17/1923: Carmen Hill quiets Washington bats with shutout
BOSTON (A) - With his best stuff going, Boston (A)'s Carmen Hill overmatched the opposing hitters all day long. Washington had no chance, collecting just one hit against the right-hander. 'I'll have to give a lot of credit to my catcher. He put all the right fingers down today.' Hill (16-7) struck out 5 and walked 1, throwing 63 of 93 pitches for strikes. Joe Sargent provided Boston (A) with the offense Hill needed as he collected 2 hits in 5 trips to the plate, scoring two runs and collecting 2 RBI. The final score of the game was 8-0.

WASHINGTON - When it rains, it pours. Washington's ace Pete Donohue will not pitch for at least 5-6 weeks, handing the team a huge setback. He suffered a serious injury in a game against Detroit where he left the field in the 4th inning. After being taken to a local hospital, Donohue was examined by specialists. Ross Youngs wins his 2nd Player of the Week award. American League pitchers couldn't figure out how to retire this guy all week long. In 23 at bats he hit .565 with 1 HR and 5 RBI. He hit in every game this week and extended his hitting streak to 9 games. It's the 8th time that the National League Player of the Week award goes to Chicago (N)'s second baseman Cristobal Torriente. Cristobal went 15 for 25 (.600), while hitting 0 HR and collecting 5 RBI. This year Torriente drove in 64 and scored 108 runs while batting .365 with 8 homeruns. He's 1st in the National League in batting!
 
Tuesday 8/8/1923: New York (N)'s Cannady severely injured
NEW YORK (N) - New York (N)'s season took a blow when Walter Cannady suffered a serious injury in the game against Brooklyn. He hurt his arm throwing a strike to first base. Cannady will probaby miss 7 weeks. After being taken to a local hospital, Cannady was examined by specialists. The diagnosis revealed the sad truth, a Bone Chips Shoulder. He has hit 2 taters while batting .308 this season. His 135 hits and 43 walks add up to a .376 on-base percentage.

The Player of the Week award in the American League goes to New York (A)'s Jasper Washington this time, as the third baseman displayed the best offensive perfomance in his league. Wednesday 8/2/1923: Philadelphia (N) has no chance in a 2-hitter by Colonel Snover
PHILADELPHIA (N) - Philadelphia (N)'s hitters were dominated by New York (N)'s Colonel Snover. He gave up just 2 hits in recording his 4th shutout of the season. George Scales spoiled the bid for a no-hitter when he doubled with no outs in the 5th inning. Snover (11-7) showed excellent control, walking nobody and fanning 1. 'Hey, that's my job! Everytime I take the mound I give the best I can. And my best stuff was too much for them today.' New York (N)'s centerfielder Oscar Charleston finished with 3 hits in 4 AB. That was enough to support the brilliant performance of Snover. New York (N) scored 4 runs on 12 hits.
 
Tuesday 8/1/1923: Salmon and Canavan receive Pitcher of the Month award

Sunday 7/30/1923: Philadelphia (A) has no chance in a 2-hitter by Eddie Cicotte
ST. LOUIS (A) - Age doesn't matter. At least St. Louis (A)'s right-hander Eddie Cicotte shares this opinion. The 39 year old pitched a 2-hit shutout against Philadelphia (A), recording his 2nd shutout of the season. 'I'll have to give a lot of credit to my catcher. He put all the right fingers down today.' Cicotte (7-10) fanned 4 and walked 2, throwing 93 pitches. The hitting star for St. Louis (A) was shortstop Swede Risberg, he collected 3 hits in 4 trips to the plate, hitting a double. St. Louis (A) improved its record to 53-51, scoring 3 runs on 10 hits.
 
Monday 7/24/1923: Boston (A)'s Gerner severely injured
BOSTON (A) - Boston (A)'s pitcher Ed Gerner was part of a scary incident that saw the southpaw being hit by a line drive in the 7th inning of the game between Boston (A) and Washington. Team trainers immediately rushed onto the field after the frightening scene. Gerner will miss about 8 weeks. After x-rays were taken the diagnosis did not surprise many: Broken Hand. DETROIT - Detroit is without its right-hander Waite Hoyt for at least 5 weeks. He injured himself while throwing a pitch to Jack Smith in a game against New York (A). His face showed signs of pain immediately after the ball left his hand. Hoyt was rushed to an hospital near the ballpark, where doctors took x-rays. Those revealed the serious injury, Herniated Disc Back. In 23 starts this year Waite struck out 103 batters in 190 innings of work. His ERA is 3.69, his record 9-10. He has 18 complete games and one shutout.
 
Monday 7/10/1923: George Uhle out for 6 weeks
DETROIT - Detroit's pitcher George Uhle was part of a scary incident that saw the right-hander being hit by a line drive in the 4th inning of the game between Detroit and Cleveland. Team trainers immediately rushed onto the field after the frightening scene. Uhle will miss about 6 weeks. Doctors examined him after the game and diagnosed a Broken Hand which will require surgery. Tuesday 6/20/1923: Chicago (N)'s Casey Stengel gets the cycle
BOSTON (N) - Chicago (N)'s rightfielder Casey Stengel once again displayed his tremendous ability to make contact with that little white ball. He tore up Boston (N)'s pitching staff with a 4 hit performance on Tuesday. His 1st hit was a RBI double off Art Decatur in the 4th inning. A 368 foot drive to left field marked his 2nd hit, a solo homerun off Art Decatur in the 6th inning. A single in the 8th off Art Decatur accounted for his 3rd hit. Hit number 4 followed in the 9th inning, a triple. That drive completed the cycle, causing a smile on his face! Casey did drive in 3 while scoring one run on his own. He's having a very good season so far, batting .306. He's now the 6th player in league history to hit for the cycle! Happy Felsch was the last player to hit for the cycle, doing it 6/16/1923.
 
Tuesday 6/20/1923: Webster Mcdonald dominates Cleveland, gives up just 2 hits
CLEVELAND - All you need to win is a dominating pitching performance. And Washington's Webster Mcdonald did so today, in a 2-hit shutout against Cleveland. 'I'll have to give a lot of credit to my catcher. He put all the right fingers down today.' Mcdonald (9-4) showed excellent control, walking nobody and fanning 2. George Sisler helped Mcdonald at the plate, he finished with 2 hits in 4 AB, homering once. The final score of the game was 4-0.

BOSTON (A) - Jack Tobin is among the best pure hitters in the game, but his 5 hit performance seemed to surprise even himself. His 3rd cleared the based, a three-run double off Joe Deberry in the 7th inning. Number 4 in the 9th inning accounted for a RBI double. His 5th hit, a two-run homerun off Jesse Petty in the 11th inning, cleared the fence in left field. He collected singles in the 2nd and in the 4th (one RBI). CHICAGO (A) - When it rains, it pours. Chicago (A)'s ace Stan Coveleski will not pitch for at least 7 weeks, handing the team a huge setback. He suffered a serious injury in a game against Cleveland where he left the field in the 1st inning. Torn Tricep Muscle was the diagnosis after x-rays were taken in a nearby hospital. The message shocked teammates and team officials. This season Coveleski compiled an ERA of 2.53, going 7-7 in 17 starts. He fanned 35 while giving up 124 hits in 135.1 innings. The injury didn't seem to be serious the moment it happened. But suddenly Mostil collapsed in pain and had to be carried off the field. His season features a batting average of .305 (25 hits in 82 AB), 4 doubles, 2 triples and 2 longballs. Moore collected 18 RBI and 16 runs as well.
 
Friday 4/21/1923: Hack Miller knocks lights out with three homeruns
ST. LOUIS (A) - Hitting homeruns is one of the most difficult things in sports. To hit three of them in one game is almost sensational. St. Louis (A)'s first baseman Hack Miller accomplished that feat in a 10-3 win over Boston (A). Number 1 in the 3rd inning, a shot estimated at 450 feet, cleared the wall in left field. His 2nd shot, off Ferdie Schupp in the 6th inning, was a solo homerun and cleared the fence in left-center. A 426 foot drive to left field marked his 3rd bomb, a solo homerun off Ferdie Schupp in the 8th inning. Overall he collected 3 hits in 5 trips to the plate, scoring three times and driving in 4 runs. St. Louis (A) scored 10 runs on 13 hits.
 
Thursday 4/20/1923: Bob Steele pitches his 1st shutout of the season
BOSTON (N) - Good things can happen when you throw strikes. And Bob Steele did so today, in a 1-hit shutout against Boston (N). Steele (2-2) struck out 6 and issued 2 BB, throwing 74 of 122 pitches for strikes. 'I really like to play baseball, and I love the way I was able to play it today.' Chicago (N)'s third baseman Dobie Moore went 4 for 6, scoring 2 runs and collecting 6 RBI. That was enough to support the brilliant performance of Steele. The final score of the game was 20-0.
 
Tuesday 4/18/1923: Philadelphia (N) has no chance in a 1-hitter by Dick Rudolph
NEW YORK (N) - Philadelphia (N)'s hitters were dominated by New York (N)'s Dick Rudolph. He gave up just one hit in recording his 1st shutout of the season. 'I really like to play baseball, and I love the way I was able to play it today.' Rudolph (2-2) struck out 1 and walked 2, throwing 50 of 104 pitches for strikes. Orville Riggins provided New York (N) with the offense Rudolph needed as he finished 2 for 4, hitting a homerun, and collecting 2 RBI. New York (N) improved its record to 11-6, scoring 3 runs on 11 hits.
 
Monday 4/17/1923: Cooper (BOS) and Santop (CHC) win P.O.W. award
The Player of the Week award in the American League goes to Boston (A)'s Andy Cooper this time, as the pitcher displayed the best pitching perfomance in his league. Cooper was overpowering all week long, going 2-0 with an ERA of 0.50. Along the way he struck out 9 in 18 innings. He hurled a shutout as well. This season Cooper compiled an ERA of 1.29, going 3-0 in 4 starts. He fanned 17 while giving up 21 hits in 35 innings. He has 3 complete games and one shutout. He's 1st in the American League in ERA and 3rd in wins! He's 1st in the American League in saves! Louis Santop wins his 1st Player of the Week award. National League pitchers couldn't figure out how to retire this guy all week long. Louis went 14 for 23 (.609), while hitting 0 HR and collecting 9 RBI.
 
Monday 4/10/1923: Harry Harper pitches 2-hit shutout against Pittsburgh
PITTSBURGH - All you need to win is a dominating pitching performance. And St. Louis (N)'s Harry Harper did so today, in a 2-hit shutout against Pittsburgh. Harper (1-0) showed excellent control, walking nobody and fanning 6. 'I'll have to give a lot of credit to my catcher. He put all the right fingers down today.' Fred Merkle provided St. Louis (N) with the offense Harper needed as he finished with 1 hit in 4 AB, with 2 RBI. The final score of the game was 2-0.
 
Monday 4/10/1923: Jones and Speaker win Player of the Week award
The American League's best player of the week was St. Louis (A)'s Sam Jones, who wins the award for the 3rd time in his career. Sam went 2-0 with an ERA of 2.00, while fanning 6 in 18 innings of work. He hurled a shutout as well. The National League's best player of the week was Pittsburgh's Tris Speaker, who wins the award for the 1st time in his career. Tris went 15 for 24 (.625), while hitting 0 HR and collecting 7 RBI.
 
Saturday 4/8/1923: Jimmy Lyons out for 5 weeks
NEW YORK (N) - New York (N)'s catcher Jimmy Lyons will miss at least 5 weeks after he got hurt seriously in a collision at home plate. He laid on the ground without movement for several minutes and had to be carried off the field. Broken Ribs was the diagnosis after x-rays were taken in a nearby hospital. The message shocked teammates and team officials.
 
Friday 4/7/1923: Boston (A)'s Wright out for the season
BOSTON (A) - Boston (A)'s right-hander Rasty Wright experienced probably the worst case scenario for a pitcher, a season ending injury. After pitching in the 9th inning of the game against Philadelphia (A), Wright complained about serious pain in his throwing arm. He had to leave the game. Torn Back Muscle was the diagnosis after x-rays were taken in a nearby hospital. The message shocked teammates and team officials.
 
Thursday 4/6/1923: Lou Vedder out for 7-8 weeks
ST. LOUIS (N) - St. Louis (N)'s right-hander Lou Vedder suffered a severe injury on Thursday and will be out for at least 7-8 weeks. In the 3rd of the game against Chicago (N) he experienced pain in his throwing arm and had to leave the game. Doctors examined him after the game and diagnosed a Ruptured Tricep Tendon which will require surgery.
